Comic Relief and BBC Television
are looking for 1000 supporters of Comic Relief to take part in a TV quiz 1000
to One for the chance to win a stupendous stash of ONE THOUSAND
prizes.
So what is 1000 to One?
1000 to One is a
television quiz show which will be screened on Saturday nights on BBC1
next year. Over 5 weeks 1000
contestants will be whittled down until we find just ONE winner.
How is the game played?
If you have ever
shouted out the correct answers to other TV quiz shows then you can play 1000
to One. We ask you a general knowledge question and give you
four possible answers. If you
select the correct answer you get to stay in the game.
We keep playing until we end up with just one winner.
What has 1000 to One got to
do with Comic Relief?
We are looking for
1000 members of the public who are supporters of Comic Relief to come
along and help us get the whole of the UK in the mood for Red Nose Day on
16th March 2001.
By taking part in 1000
to One you can help us get people all over the country thinking about
Comic Relief and all the wonderful ways they can help us raise even more
money to help people here in the UK and in Africa.
Is there a prize?
Yes there is!
The winner of the Grand Final of 1000
to One will win an incredible ONE THOUSAND PRIZES - the biggest stash
of goodies ever won by one person on one show.
These prizes have been donated by the wonderful, generous companies
and organisations who support Comic Relief.
Who can enter?
If you are 18 years
old or over on 20th January 2001 you can become a contestant on
1000 to One.
Can I bring a friend?
If you have friends,
family or workmates who want to come and take part in 1000 to One then you can apply to come along as a group - just pop
all the applications in one envelope.
It would help us if you nominate a team leader for admin
purposes only.
Where will shows be recorded?
1000 to One will be
recorded in London. If you
live outside London don’t worry, we
can help make arrangements for you to get to the studio.
