| The Wise Old Owls Yorkshire Plate Competition is
contested by teams eliminated during the early stages of the annual Champion
of Champions knock-out.
Inaugurated in 2000 it has quickly become appreciated as a source of
continued interest for those teams who appreciate they lack the firepower
to compete with the teams which tend to dominate the senior
competition. Certainly, it has been well supported by eligible teams
and is now established as a permanent part of the Wise Old Owls
Yorkshire Quiz League season.
