Established since 1989, the Wise Old Owls are quiz
and research specialists.
As well as supplying a number of independent
leagues with questions, we
organize & run the Wise
Old Owls Yorkshire Quiz League. The current
season starts on 29th October and runs through
till Spring 2004. See our frequently

We also supply
licensed premises with traditional pub and 'fun' quizzes and assist
researchers finding contestants for TV &
Radio shows. So, if you are looking to take part in or organize a league, or
you require a reliable supply of questions for your pub quiz, or you
happen to be a researcher looking for contestants for a quiz show, get
in touch.
We have on several occasions helped television
& radio stations, and allied production companies, offering
advice on matters of format and putting them in touch with likely quiz
show contestants.
In 1999 we supplied Yorkshire TV with 15 of the 16 individual
contestants who took part in a news quiz screened on their LIVE Friday night show 'The Local'.
In 2000, we helped Bazal in their search for teams for the prime-time BBC1 show 'The Syndicate'.
A
team chosen from our league, The New Inn, reached the
semi-final stages of the competition, only to be beaten by the
eventual winners.
Late in 2000 we were enlisted to help BBC1 find
prospective contestants for 1000 to 1 - a quiz show aimed at
generating interest in the year's Comic Relief appeal.
Early in 2001 we helped Radio 4 in their search
for teams to take part in the new national Masterteam Challenge.
In the summer of 2001 we helped researchers working out of BBC
Manchester Oxford Rd TV Studios find contestants to
take part in a new series of Mastermind.
